New Opportunity | SMART-DART: Health Equity Cohort Researcher of Color Training

The South Big Data Hub, CODATA-RDA, AIM-AHEAD Southeast Hub at Morehouse School of Medicine, and Microsoft will host a 10-week Researcher Data Science Training for researchers of color. The goal of this SMART-DART Program: Health Equity Cohort is to increase the readiness of health equity researchers of color in the south for artificial Intelligence and open data research. Project Goals

We want to build a network of HBCU researchers focused on development of resources, collaborations and initiatives centered around data science. We want to increase possibility of securing funding and research awards in data science by HBCU Consortium members.

Project Objectives

To build on National as well as The South Big Data Hub initiatives to define data science. To develop a continual network of data science, data analytics and/or business analytics researchers at HBCUs for sharing of best practices and making future collaborations. To develop a repository of resources (data sources, curricula and associated degree proposals), scholarly articles, etc), to be shared among the HBCU community for use in future research and teaching collaborations
